Judge Rules Against Google & Facebook, in Favor of Wireless Ink Corp
READ WRITE WEB - May 29 - A judge had ruled in favor of Wireless Ink Corp in its social patent infringement suit against Facebook and Google. The company claims that Facebook's mobile service and Google's Buzz infringe on its mobile social networking patent. The claim was not thrown out, and the patent not ruled invalid, so the companies may have to pay Wireless Ink Corp to resolve the matter.

Social Network Tuenti Plans Expansion Outside Spain
BUSINESSWEEK - May 27 - Telefonica's Tuenti, which is Spain's second-most popular social networking site, has plans to open membership to foreign users as early as next week. The site is invitation only and has 11 million users. According to comScore, Facebook had 22.5 million unique visitors in Spain for April, compared to 16 million unique visotors for Tuenti.

Facebook Partners with Music-streaming Service Spotify
FORBES - May 26 - According to Forbes, Facebook has partnered with Spotify to integrate the music-streaming service into the social network. Facebook will reportedly offer a subscription based premium streaming service to users. The service would only be available in countries where Spotify has deals with music companies, which would not include the United States at this point.

Internet Advertising Up 23% to $7.3Bn
Internet-Adv-Image-Mashable MASHABLE - May 26 - According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau, internet advertising revenues for Q1 2011 have hit a record setting $7.3 billion, which is an increase of 23% from Q1 2010. Online revenues for 2010 were $26 billion, an increase of 15% over 2009.

Kabam Raises $85 Million in Funding
Kabam logo MASHABLE - May 26 - Social game developer Kabam has secured $85 million in financing in a round of funding co-lead by Google Ventures and Pinnacle Ventures. Kabam focuses on social games for “hardcore” gamers, with 70% of its demographic being male. Kabam plans to use the money for accelerating growth in Asia.

Zynga About to File for IPO
ALL THINGS DIGITAL - May 25 - The filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission could come as early as this week, or next week at the latest. Zynga's valuation in its last round of funding was $10 billion, but it is likely to price itself higher in an offering. Zynga claims that it has 250M people actively playing its games every month. Its largest game currently is CityVille, which attracts 90M monthly users, reports AppData. Zynga reportedly generated ~$400M in profit last year on ~$850M in revenue.
