Groupon Seeks to Raise $750 Million in IPO
BLOOMBERG NEWS - June 3 - Groupon filed to raise $750M in an IPO. Groupon’s CEO, Andrew Mason, said in a memo to employees that going public would make it “easier to make big acquisitions’’ and that all full-time employees will get equity in the share sale. The market for daily deals is set to generate $3.9 billion in sales in 2015, compared with $873M in 2010. Groupon’s sales surged to $644.7M in the first quarter, a 14-fold increase from $44.2M a year earlier.

Pandora Prices IPO at $7 to $9 Per Share at Valuation Over $1B
TECH CRUNCH - June 3 - Music streaming service Pandora has just filed a new version of its S-1 that indicates the company will be pricing its stock at $7 to $9 per share. According to the filing, Pandora aims to raise as much as $141.6M. The pricing of the stock puts Pandora’s valuation at ~$1 billion.

RockYou Buys Studio 3 Blokes
TECH CRUNCH - July 1 - RockYou is continuing its acquisition strategy today with the purchase of Australian social game developer 3 Blokes. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2006, 3 Blokes has developed 4 social games for Facebook, including their most recent title, Galactic Trader, a space trading and combat game with 200K monthly active users.

Facebook Projected to Reach 700 Million Users
BUSINESS INSIDER - May 31 - According to Facebook stat tracking site Socialbakers, Facebook may soon reach 700 million registered users. The fastest-growing region for Facebook is Brazil, where nearly 2 million new accounts were created in May 2011. Other top countries include Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, Argentina, India and the UK. The U.S. isn't even in the top 20.

Wooga Raises $24 Million
TECH CRUNCH - May 30 - European social games developer Wooga has raised $24 million in Series B funding. The Berlin, Germany-based company has raised $31.5 million in total capital. 30 million people play the company's games per month. The company plans to use the money to develop more games for Facebook.

Twitter Negotiating AdGrok Acquisition
TECH CRUNCH - May 30 - According to multiple sources, Twitter is negotiating an acquisition of Y Combinator-backed key word bidding platform AdGrok. It is not yet known if this is a tech acquisition or a talent acquisition. The deal is for less than $10 million.
